Hilti Ranks Sixth Among the Best Workplaces in Switzerland and Liechtenstein

Best workplaces

Schaan (FL) / Adliswil (CH), May 11, 2022 – Hilti has been recognized as a top employer in Switzerland and Liechtenstein by Great Place to Work (GPTW)

This is the seventh year in which both Hilti organizations received the coveted GPTW recognition. The ranking captures the perspective of both the employees and the organization, the former accounting for two-thirds of the final score. The employees share their perspective via an anonymous survey (Trust Index) while the organization reports on a list of key performance indicators (Culture Brief) and undergoes an evaluation of its HR processes and measures (Culture Audit) conducted by GPTW. To be recognized as one of the best workplaces, organizations must achieve a Trust Index of at least 70 percent and meet the criteria of the Culture Audit.

“At Hilti Corporation, 91 percent of our colleagues would strongly endorse the company to friends and family as a great place to work. That is the most genuine confirmation that any employer could hope for. To us, the human resources community at Hilti, it shows that our efforts to foster a caring and performance-oriented culture are visible and meaningful to our colleagues,” said Philip Janssen, Head of Headquarters Human Resources at Hilti.

On top of the GPTW ranking, Hilti has received the Swibeco Benefits Award for the array of benefits provided to the team. “At our headquarters we have implemented a benefits portal open to all employees, with 25 entries ranging from health and well-being to family-time offerings, consulting services, sports, smart mobility and insurance. Everyone gets the same number of points every year, which can be used to purchase the benefits that best fit their needs – similar to a salad bar. The majority of our benefits are related to employee health and green mobility, which are key dimensions of our sustainability strategy at Hilti,” explained Philip Janssen.

GPTW ranks companies based on six criteria: trust between employees and leadership, sustainable value creation, leadership effectiveness, lived values, the commitment and motivation of employees to contribute to innovation, as well as the extent to which all employees can maximize their potential.
